David R. Oberstar was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the practice area of Timber Law, an area in which he has been recognized since 2007. He also practices in the areas of land use and zoning, mining and minerals, public contracting, general municipal law, environmental law, eminent domain, and administrative law. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law.
